Sweetie Pie(s)

Before I start, I would like to congratulate Jolie for the arrival of her baby sister, Jaime. Another friend to my list (",)

As promised, here it is. A post about my new friend Mavis. I met Mavis at a BBQ party two weeks back. U know... the adult get-together-eat-drink-gossip BBQ party. And of course, not forgetting it was also Uncle Eng Chong's birthday party. Mavis is actually Uncle Eng Chong's niece and this explained why she was at the party.

Mavis is 21 months old and a real sweetie pie indeed. Mama was really impressed with her as she speaks very well for her age. She has definitely scored some brownie points with mama.

Mavis, the sweetie pie.

A surprised hug. Oops... And mummy caught it on camera!

Ooh... We even had a "family" photo. Don't you agree that both of us looked great in the photo, other than the yummy birthday cake?

The Marshmallows

Last Friday, Mama came home with a bag of goodies. It's supposed to be my "9 months old" gift from one of her students, Albert. How sweet. Albert knew I love marshmallows and generously packed 4 for me. He kept stressing that the marshmallows are fat-free and it's okay for me to have a bite. Ooh.. and some "Xiao Man Tou" too. He claimed that it's definitely safe for baby as these "man tou" will melt in my mouth. Oh my! I simply love Albert (for the sweets...haha).

Fat Free Marshmallows

What a treat!

Seeking for permission before I sink my teeth on them. Mama....

Many Faces of Lucien Wan

The Chinese has an old adage that goes "A girl of 18 undergoes a big change". I strongly disagree. I think a baby in his first year has more changes that the Morphin Power Rangers.
You don't think so?
Check this out. Here is a picture of me in my first month.

After a few weeks, I got more milk, I became this...

When I start to get more exercise, I got fit and then I was looked like this...

Of course, now my dear "por por" says that I've lost weight and looks thin. Just see the picture below and you can tell. *sigh*

Mummy! Daddy! More milk please!

The "Retired" Modem

Sorry Folks! I know... it's kinda of late again. Well, not able to post anything for the past couple of days as papa's old faithful modem has officially tendered his resignation on Sunday. The old fella celebrated his retirement by popping firecrackers with "bang" and "crackle" sound filling the study. Ah..hah... not forgetting the sparks and smoke. ....puff puff!

Pops praised Mr Modem for serving him well all these years. No idea how long but long enough. Can you imagine, the service hotline number tagged on Mr Modem is still 7 digit. (Way before the implementation of the digit 6 to be added to existing phone numbers).

Sigh! Well, indeed served papa well but not me. Barely served me for 2 weeks and already calling it a day. It's okay. Papa has just got a new replacement and I can blog again. "Jiu de bu qu, xin de bu lai"

The "L" Plate

Ooh!! My dear "Yee Yee" is already complaining (",). Well, I can't help it though. Both papa and mama were busy with work and hardly able to spare even ONE minute to update my blog. Heiz!Humph..h.. I am going to drink more milk, grow up fast and write my own post!

Right! The "L" plate. Mama has always wanted to get me a baby BMW. Don't get it wrong. Not the posh BMW 3 series that cost over 100k okie but one that cost less slightly over 100 BUCKS. No power, no speed but only the BMW logo. What a difference eh? Well, as long as it's from pops and mops, I'll love it. (Not much of a choice ya)

Before I am "qualified" to ride on one of those displayed baby BMW in the BMW showroom, I definitely need a baby "driving license". One that proved that I can steer and paddle the car around. My driving lesson was conducted at HOME, in the living room. Check it out!

My Little Red SPORT car! Cool!
And, don't MESS with me when I'm in it!

This cool red car was actually my "one month" old or "man yue" gift from grandpa's friend.

Where's the ignition button? Hmm.mm.... Well, actually I was looking for something that I can chew on... haha!

The mirror looks yummy!

Honestly, this driving lesson was not about driving techniques, neither is it about rule of the roads. It was all about chewing the side mirror, steering wheel, car key etc. And, of cos, not forgetting the drool too. What do you expect from a 8 months old baby, my dear mops and pops? Oops! This was on X'mas day.

My True First Kiss *MUACK*

My first kiss went to ... .. ... .. .. MAMA! Well, that was against my will though. Mama simply loves to pull my lip close to her face and pretends that I kissed her. She would say " thank you for the kisses". *Shrugs* That's mama.

My TRUE first kiss went to Daddy Dewayne on Sat 6th January 2007 about 11pm. Just before I dozed off. It was just like any other nights where mops and pops would put me in between them and pat me to sleep. I'd really caught them by surprise. I pulled myself up from the bed, sat up and pop my lip on dada's face. Not once but twice before I went over to plant a kiss on mama's cheek. Mama was so touched that stream of tingling tears rolled down her cheeks. Oh! what a night! Billy Joel... haha! U know what I mean.

My darling dada and mama!!! And ME!

Swimming Lessons

Last year on 5 Dec 06, it was Mummy and Daddy's Anniversary. They were married at the Swissotel Raffles the Plaza in 2004. It was a splendid hotel. Their suite was grand and a real blast. Good things however don't last forever. They had 2 stays up till the last anniversary and that was it. They did however get a free stay with Raffles The Stamford in one of their rooms on the North Towers thanks to the Feed at Raffles Programme.

It was great and I got myself a baby cot too. The problem with it was that it was made of cold hard steel. I really looked like a lion in a cage when I was inside it.

Anyhow, poor mummy and daddy had to take turns to enjoy their spa packages at the RafflesAmrita Spa. I was however suppose to get my swimming lessons at the pool.

Would you believe it! There were NO floats available in the entire Raffles City Mall for me. The closest was the armband floats for bigger kids. Sigh! Anyhow, the weather was bad and that made a pool swim too cold for me according to my protective parents.

Daddy thus had to improvise. We'd get my swimming lesson in the hotel room bath tub.

First up, the eager swimmers!

Wash up at the baby pool! or should I say birdbath... hee...

The pool had a great water fountain that daddy moved around for me...

One picture for the photo book to show my first swimming lesson.

So to my best friend Baby Jianwei in Dubai. I did get the swimming experience like you said after all! Can't wait for you to come back so we can play together!

Okay. That's all for now. Tata~

I'm a Musketeer!

Hello Everyone!

Christmas was just over and how did you celebrate yours? Well, I went with Grandpa, Grandma, Mom and Dad to Jacks for dinner.

As you know, Jacks had a great dinner menu on that day. I honestly couldn't tell because I could only have the mash potato. But what's great was the party pack that they had. It came with clappers, noise makers, horns, poppers and a party hat.

The funny thing about party hats is that they never come in kiddy sizes. How unfair... Hrumph!

All of them didn't fit expect for one. Somehow this strange hat was a perfect fit for me. Daddy says it's because I have a big head. So big that mummy needed a C-section. Whatever that means.

Anyhow, that hat was great! I always wanted to be a Musketeer! When I paired it up with my bib at lunch the next day, I looked smashing. OR should I say dashing!

Mummy wants a girl!

Sometime ago last year when daddy was out sailing, I was sitting on their bed early in the morning doing my usual guy thing and beating the drums. Then I stumbled upon a dark secret!

Mummy wants a girl! I'm not quite sure if it's a girl for the next baby or if it was me though! *gasp*

Now, I'm not usually that good nor am I a savant, but I think it was quite obvious and I've got pictures to show for it. It all happened because there was a happy nappy lying nearby.

First, it was just flopped on my head.

I didn't make much of it and continue to smash my drum for my next big break at SuperBand. Lo and behold, with a swift clip from mama's hair clip, I was turned into sister Maria!

I struggled a little and the draping did become slightly better and look more like a prayer shawl. I was slightly miffed but didn't mind because I looked like a holy man at least. Of course my drum would be my oracle.

Mummy was however not satisfied and pulled me in for a close inspection!

Yup. That was the last straw and the final indicator of mummy's hopes of a girl. I might look pretty but I'm a boy so hear me Rawr!

With a deft move, I broke free and was about to flail my drums at mama. I stopped however because it was time for milk. heee...

Hmm... I wonder how much I can sell this secret to daddy. Maybe I'll get myself a new drum fitting of a little drummer boy!

the FIRST of 2007

*Slurp* Just finished my milk. Mama is great! Wonder how would life be if I ever thread on mummy's toes. Blah!

What can I say? There's so many "FIRST" on the FIRST day of 2007.

it's my First New Year with the Wan family

the First time daddy bathes me in a long time

the First time daddy plays his guitar with me

the First time rolling around in the study room (even though I've been living in the house for the past 8 months)

There's just too many "FIRST" to mark the first day of 2007. However, it is definitely not the first time we took a family picture. Check it out! Don't you think we all looked great (",)

Mama Sok Ying, ME and Papa Dewayne

Gonna be a smashing year for us and YOU too. Yippy!!!!
