Hello folks,
Today Professor Lucien Wan will expound one this very profound topic.
How do you measure love?
Love is an intangible tangible. It's the expression of emotions and feelings in concrete actions for one person. In the Christian theology, they say God is Love. Jesus on the other hand is the expression of that Love (through his sacrifice on the cross = action).
Love has also many graduations. The Greek language actuallys have 4 different kinds/types of Love.
Eros, Philio, Storage, Agape. The range from physical love (as in physical attraction), normative love between friends, provision and all encompassing love of parents to a child and finally the self-sacrificial love of God.
Wah. Cheem... Anyhow, back to measuring it. To me, love is great when the giving is more than the receiving. The bigger the difference between the two, the greater the love. In short, love throw economic sense out of the window.
Here are some examples. A man who loves a house so much that he overpays for it. A man who loves a woman so much that he is willing to forgo an inheritance.
As for me, today was a classical example of Mama and Papa's love for me. Recently, I visited Baby Jianwei's house and was suppose to have a swim in his little pool. Alas, that did not happen and Mops and Pops in their love for me decidedly bought a pool for me as well. The pool was a fantastic one. One of the biggest in the range. It took a full 2 hours to setup with Papa stepping non-stop on the little foot pump and it filled the car porch. Here's how it looks like.
Whee! Check it out! My very own pool at my doorstep.
It's got coloured balls, plastic aquatic life, a big fishing net and a baby submarine!
It's got a rainbow too! Hey, what's this? Bubbles?
Oh! It's Mama blowing bubbles to make it a magic moment for me! How sweet!
With all that effort, I had fun for a full 20 minutes max. I couldn't stay in there for too long because I'd get the sniffles.
Sigh! That's how much Mama and Papa loves me. Ain't I the most blessid baby?
